Model Lyndsey Scott talks tech with female students

Ridding stereotypes for women in technology and promoting women involvement in the industry is the mission that model and app developer Lyndsey Scott is committed to.
The NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering in Downtown Brooklyn on Tuesday held a "Women in Engineering Summit," where female students listened to Scott tell the story of her journey to success in the field of programming, including the stereotypes she faced.
Scott said she learned that women still have a long way to go.
"It's still a shame that women in tech have to prove themselves if they aren't the stereotypical programmer," she said to amNewYork. "If they aren't, then there is this automatic tendency that people have to question their abilities."
