Nizar Touzi

Nizar Touzi is an internationally recognized expert in applied mathematics whose research spans stochastic analysis, optimization, stochastic control, and game theory, with applications across finance and economics. His work develops mathematical tools for understanding complex systems shaped by uncertainty, from financial markets and risk management to economic decision-making and strategic interactions. Touzi has made influential contributions to mathematical finance, including models for pricing, investment, and managing risk in dynamic and unpredictable environments. Before joining NYU, he was a professor of applied mathematics and department chair at École Polytechnique in France, where he led the financial mathematics group.
