Scaling Up Solar: Policies and People Building a Solar Industry in NYC

The third Clean Energy Connections event, Scaling Up Solar: Policies and People Building a Solar Industry in NYC, will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011, 7:00-9:00 PM at the Jerome L. Greene Performance Space, 44 Charlton Street (at Varick Street), NY, NY.

Solar One and the New York City Accelerator for a Clean and Renewable Economy(NYC ACRE) at Polytechnic Institute of New York University present the third event of their discussion series and online forum Clean Energy Connections. Developed in collaboration with The City University of New York Solar America City, Scaling Up Solar will feature national solar industry leaders discussing and debating new opportunities in collaboration and investment that will emerge as solar scales up globally.  As credit markets increase fluidity and government and utility officials work to streamline the pathway to installation, the climate for new solar installations has never been better. The public is invited to join the  discussion on how new technologies, new business models and industry consolidation are changing the market.

Clean Energy Connections brings together professionals, policymakers, investors and academia to explore major topics shaping NYC’s blossoming cleantech industry, and provides an expert forum to share best practices and new inspirations. Panel topics include investment opportunities in wind and solar, energy efficiency in the information age, electric vehicles and biomimicry and industrial design. Clean Energy Connections was developed in partnership with the Energy $mart Communities program of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and is sponsored by NYSERDA, Loeb & Loeb LLP, and Con Edison’s Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency Programs. Greentech Media is the media sponsor for this series and will  host the live web stream of this event.
