Robert Otruba

Robert Otruba is a Regional Managing Director at Diales, a member of the Driver Group, and has approximately 30 years of professional experience in the areas of construction consulting, engineering, construction management, claims analysis and construction scheduling.

Mr. Otruba has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University and is a licensed professional engineer in New York State. He has provided construction claims consulting services related to the assessment and analysis of project schedule delays, additional project costs, productivity and damages on a wide variety of construction projects including residential buildings, commercial buildings, hotels, high rises, transit systems, highways, dams, power projects, stadiums, petrochemical facilities and manufacturing facilities among others types of projects. He has provided expert witness testimony related to construction engagements in various dispute resolution settings including courts, arbitrations, dispute review board hearings and city hearings.

In addition to his claims related consulting work, Mr. Otruba also provides project management oversight services to clients. He has experience in the management of active construction projects and has also provided scheduling related services including the development of cost and resource loaded baseline schedules and the monthly updating of schedules for various types of construction projects including pumping stations, wastewater treatment facilities, roadways, buildings and transit projects.

Before joining Diales, Mr. Otruba was a Managing Director at BDO USA, LLP, a Managing Director at FTI Consulting, a Vice President in the Construction Consulting Group of Marsh USA, an Associate Director at Navigant Consulting, and a Manager at KPMG. Earlier in his career, Mr. Otruba was a Project Engineer with LiRo Engineering and Construction Management
