Dr. Prassas is a board member of ITS-NY.  She has served on the Highway Capacity and Quality of Service Committee (2004–2013), where she was Chair of the Signalized Intersection Subcommittee for six years. She is the co-author of three books, including the well-known Traffic Engineering textbook published by Prentice Hall.
