Café Servery Remodeled

Dec. 2010 - Jan. 2011

Coinciding with the School of Engineering Winter Break, Lackmann Culinary Services began renovating the café servery in Rogers Hall on Dec. 27, 2010.

The extensive refurbishment, the cost of which Lackmann absorbed, included enhanced food counters, upgraded refrigeration units, new flooring and contemporary design and materials consistent with the previously remodeled café dining area. The contemporary design scheme incorporates cool gray floor tiles, new counter surfaces and accents in sunny, yellow paint. Newly installed refrigeration units make the food offerings more visible and accessible and a streamlined breakfast bar/salad bar conserves floor space, helping to minimize congestion during peak times.

Completed in just over a month, the renovation resulted in a more efficient, attractive servery with improved food service and new offerings that better meet the dining needs of the School of Engineering community.
