Deck the Halls with Festive Fossils
At the start of the holiday season, many people’s thoughts turn to holiday shopping, massive meals with family and friends, and the possibility of a picturesque snowfall. The members of the New York Paleontological Society are no different, but their thoughts turn, as well, to fossils—and to the amazing fossil-themed holiday party the group hosts each year at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
This year the festivities will take place on Saturday, December 5 from about 1:00 to 6:00 pm in room 116 of Rogers Hall.
Everyone in the NYU Tandon School of Engineering community is invited to attend to see, touch, and learn about fossils from around the world—everything from 400 million year old invertebrates to dinosaur and Ice Age mammals.
Everyone attending will receive a fossil as a free gift, as well as a chance to win great fossil-related prizes. (Many fossils will be available for purchase at minimal prices, and, for those more spectacular specimens, there will be a fossil auction at the end of the event.)
