16 Point Lead Not Enough as Bard Edges NYU-Poly
Jays Losing Streak Continues
ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON, NY - A 16 point lead in the first half was not enough for the NYU-Poly men's basketball team as it took on winless Bard College in a Skyline Conference matchup Thursday night. When the dust settled, the Jays were at the losing end of a nail-biting loss, 57-54. NYU-Poly falls to 0-13 overall and 0-10 in the Skyline while Bard improves to 1-12 and 1-7 in the Skyline.
The Jays were without leading scorer and senior captain Anthony Mattola (Brooklyn, NY). Senior Eddie Johnson (Queens, NY) stepped up to lead the Jays, scoring 17 while senior Jason Buckner (Littleton, CO) added 12 points and 10 rebounds to pace NYU-Poly.
