Women's Volleyball Heads to Springfield, Mass.

Will Play Middlebury College in NCAA Regionals

BROOKLYN, NY -  The NCAA Division 3 Selection Committee announced Monday morning that the NYU-Poly women's volleyball team will travel to Springfield Massachusetts and face Middleburg College in the opening game of its NCAA Regional competition.

NYU-Poly qualified for the second straight year, as the winners of the Skyline Conference. The Lady Jays go into NCAA competition with an overall mark of 20-19. Last year, NYU-Poly bowed out in the first round to NYU.

Middlebury College, from Vermont, received the automatic qualifier from the New England Small College Athletic Conference by defeating Tufts 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-21, 26-24). The Panthers come into the contest on a 9 game winning streak and an overall record of 24-5.

The matches will take place Friday-Sunday, November 12-14, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Quarterfinals. The Lady Panthers and Lady Jays will take on each other in the first-round on Friday, with the winner meeting the Mass.-Boston / Maine Maritime victor on Saturday.
