Sexual Health
Many students report wanting to use safer sex supplies but do not due to lack of money or fear of judgment when purchasing them. The distribution of free safer sex supplies on a university campus can be effective in increasing condom use, reducing new cases of sexually transmitted infections, and preventing unplanned pregnancies.
Be knowledgeable about where free condoms are available on campus. For NYU students who choose to be sexually active, free safer sex supplies are available in the Student Activities & Resource Center, Dibner LC223 and the Student Health Center, Rogers Hall Lower Level B020.
Supplies are also available at NYU Central Health Promotion Office (stop by the 3rd Floor of 726 Broadway). Staff and Health Leaders are also available to answer any questions students may have about safer sex, contraception, or sexually transmitted infections. The Student Resource Center, LGBTQ+ Center, Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP), and all of the residence halls have condoms free available to students in communal spaces.
Lactation Room
A lactation room located in JB (Jacobs Administrative Building) Room 256K is available to women students, faculty and staff. In order to access the lactation room, you will have to go to the main security desk of 6 MetroTech and ask for the key.

Food Accessibility Assistance
Are you in need of emergency food assistance?
NYU Courtesy Meals is a short-term, emergency resource for students facing an unexpected financial situation and are unable to afford meals or groceries. Courtesy Meals are accepted at our NYC campus only. Courtesy Meals:
- Provide a 75 dining dollars credit to a student's NYU ID.
- Are provided free of charge to those who seek them.
- Will not have an impact on a student's financial aid.
Courtesy Meals requests can be made in both Washington Square and Brooklyn; visit our designated office locations page to learn about available locations.
To receive Courtesy Meals, students must be:
- Enrolled in the current semester at NYU-NYC
- If on a meal plan, have exhausted both meals and dining dollars
- Have not reached the limit of three requests per academic year
Students in need of emergency assistance beyond a third Courtesy Meals request in this academic year are referred to the Wellness Exchange or the Office of Financial Education where staff can provide appropriate guidance specific to each student's individual situation. At the Wellness Exchange, students can receive counseling support, and assistance with connecting to governmental resources such as SNAP benefits. At the Office of Financial Education, students will receive individualized coaching and review of their financial circumstances to support them in their navigation of financial choices and making informed fiscal decisions.
Additional information on food accessibility resources, including dining deals, SNAP benefits, and more are available through NYU. If you have a question about the NYU Courtesy Meals program or food accessibility assistance, please contact nyucourtesymeals@nyu.edu.
