Hello parents! We are excited to welcome you to the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering community, and look forward to interacting with you and your student. Our goal is to assist you in working with your student to navigate the resources available here at the School of Engineering and at NYU.
We encourage you to read through the information we provide below which is specific to Orientation as well as to look through the more comprehensive NYU Parents website.
Parents Welcome to the University, School of Engineering
Every year we welcome our incoming undergraduate student’s parents and guardians to Brooklyn and NYU with the New Student Parents’ Program. This event focuses on connecting parents with faculty, staff and each other, to learn more about NYU, the School of Engineering, and the resources offered.
The 2014-2015 welcome will be held Saturday, August 29. Additional details to come.
NYU Parent’s Day
Saturday, October 24, 2015
The NYU Parent’s day begins with a morning academic program with a Welcome for all parents of new NYU Polytechnic students. We ask that only ONE PARENT attend the morning program due to space constraints. Location of the session will be posted late-September.
The rest of the day, which allows for all parents, includes lunch on your own and then various workshops held by the NYU Student Resource Center. The day will conclude with an all-NYU parent's reception with time in the evening free for you to spend time with your student. Please note, this event is not mandatory.
