Cornell Tech, New York's newest university, will celebrate the completion of its first three buildings this week. But just a few miles from its Roosevelt Island campus, a different kind of tech college grows in Brooklyn.

New York University's Tandon School of Engineering will begin its move into 370 Jay St. during the next month, marking the completion of a $350 million renovation of the 13-story former Metropolitan Transportation Authority building in Downtown Brooklyn.
