Virtual, Augmented Reality Lab Coming to Brooklyn (Video)

The city revealed plans for one of the first virtual and augmented reality labs in the country at a special event Tuesday in Downtown Brooklyn.

The room was full of innovation, including 3-D printers and virtual reality video games, at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering.

Mayor Bill de Blasio's administration partnered with NYU and Lehman College to create a space to support startup companies, new developments and research. It's expected to change the health care, construction and media industries.

It will also create more than 500 jobs as part of the New York Works plan.
