Military dad surprises son at NYU graduation with video from Kuwait

Army Staff Sgt. Pedro Cruz Jr. couldn’t Kuwait another minute.
The military man became the first person to congratulate son Pedro III at his Friday graduation from NYU, snapping off a nifty salute in a video recorded at a Middle East military base.
“I wanted to be the first to congratulate you on this special day,” the elder Cruz said in the message sent from Kuwait — his home for the last six months.
“I’m with you in heart and spirit,” the devoted dad continued. “I want you to take this special day and enjoy yourself. ... Thank you, I love you. I salute you, my son.”
