Adrian Gordon (NYU-Poly) struck early today, clean bowling one of the Bahamas’ openers, in his first over. This was an early setback for Bahamas,chasing USA ’s 307 . Gordon later bowled another Bahamas’ batsman to finish with 2 wickets for 25 runs off 5.4 overs.
Bahamas was all out for 192 in 47.4 overs and lost to the USA by 115 runs.
Having lost easily to Canada on Saturday the USA team today took advantage of the Bahamas’ bowling and put up 307 in their 50 overs. The in-form Aditya Thyagarajan again top-scored, making a blistering 58 in 58 mins off 43 balls, with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Sushil Nadkarni opened and made 53 in 109 mins off 55 balls (8 fours & 1 six). Lennox Cush 46, Steve Massiah 34 and Orlando Baker 33 also contributed.

Gordon also took 4 for 38 against the Argentinians, but was inexplicably taken out of the attack against the Canadians after only 2 overs. He was only brought back at the end of the innings when all the USA bowlers had tried vainly to contain the rampaging Rizwan Cheema.
