Proof of Degree Completion conditional admissions are given to students who at the time of their application have not yet completed their Bachelors degree or did not submit original or official copies of all the required documents. As per the recommendation from the admissions committee you have been admitted to the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering (School of Engineering) and under this condition are required to submit the necessary original or official documentation as outlined in your acceptance letter. This is a requirement you must fulfill in order to continue with your academic degree program and it is a stipulation of your acceptance to the Graduate School at the School of Engineering.
In a student’s first semester registration will be facilitated during orientation. Students must present their most up to date documents to the Graduate Center to have their student account hold temporarily lifted and then meet with their academic advisor before registering for classes online. In each subsequent semester while fulfilling a Proof of Degree Completion conditional admission, students must visit the Graduate Center to have their hold temporarily lifted for class registration.
There are no waivers for students with Proof of Degree Completion conditional admissions.
If students meet the above requirement, the student account hold will be permanently removed from PeopleSoft by the Graduate Center. Students will be able to register for subsequent semesters without any limitations.
If students have not met the above requirement within one semester, a hold will remain on the student’s account preventing class registration. Students will have to visit the Graduate Center to have the hold temporality lifted for class registration. If students have not met the above requirement within six months of the start of study students will not be permitted to continue with their degree program.
