Spring 2018 Tech Enhanced Education Event: New Realities in Learning

Wednesday, April 18, 2018 - 12:30pm - 4:00pm EDT

Please join us for our Spring 2018 Technology Enhanced Education Event New Realities in Learning: Innovations in Physical & Virtual Educational Space

RSVP

A transformation is underway in higher education, as faculty seek to simulate or represent the “real” world more authentically to better prepare learners for future scholarship and employment. Traditional classrooms, for example, are being reimagined with both physical and digital elements, while the use of virtual, mixed, and augmented reality is creating new and exciting opportunities for enhancing teaching and learning.  How might virtual and augmented reality environments replace, or at least change our needs for physical space? What is driving this change? What is the impact?

On April 18, we will explore the ways in which NYU faculty are engaging with these questions. Presenters will share their innovations in virtual and physical learning spaces, as well as what motivates them to experiment with new approaches. A concluding panel discussion will focus on what we as educators are learning from these experiments, in an effort to understand their current impact and to gauge future directions.

Lunch will be provided, please RSVP.
