ITE Lecture Career Prospects and Graduate Studies (Professor Joseph Chow)

Academic

For NYU Community

The transportation field is experiencing a renaissance of sorts with the rise of autonomous and connected vehicles, shared mobility, and smart cities. Where can you fit into all this as a student in civil engineering that is curious about these subjects? An overview of transportation engineering and planning as a career will be given, with an emphasis on emerging roles and opportunities. Professor Joseph Chow will also present an outline of skills you would gain through different stages of transportation studies in our program at NYU: undergraduate, MS, and PhD in transportation planning and engineering, to distinguish the opportunities that you can pursue. To cap off his talk, Professor Chow will share some recent roles that known colleagues of his have taken to illustrate the diversity and abundance of opportunities.

Both undergraduates and graduates are encouraged to attend! Free food will be served.
