With more people choosing to live in urban environments, cities need to become smarter, greener, and healthier. Please join NYU Wagner’s Mitchell L. Moss, Henry Hart Rice Professor of Urban Policy and Planning, and Director of the Rudin Center for Transportation; NYU Tandon’s Constantine Kontokosta, Assistant Professor of Civil and Urban Engineering and Deputy Director for Academics and Head of the Quantified Community at the Center for Urban Science and Progress (CUSP); NYU Tandon’s Pat Sapinsley, Managing Director Cleantech Initiatives ACRE/ Urban Future Lab/ Powerbridge; and Ben Levine, Interim Director of the MetroLab Network; as they discuss how we prepare today for the city of tomorrow. Whether it be through the use of smarter grids, innovations in planning and development, or data and informatics, urban decision-makers will require new ideas for them to efficiently, effectively, and equitably serve the populations that live in them.
