NYU-Poly Parents Day (@ NYU Washington Square)

Academic

For NYU Community

The NYU-Poly Division of Student Affairs is pleased to invite the parents of new freshmen and transfer students to Parents Day 2012. The day begins with a morning academic program with a Welcome for all parents of NYU-Poly students. We ask that only ONE PARENT attend the morning program due to space constraints. Location of the session will be posted late-September.

The afternoon continues with lunch on your own, you may choose to eat at one of the NYU Washington Square dining halls, or off campus (asks your student for suggestions!).  Additionally,  a number of workshops will be offered in the afternoon and include such topics as health and wellness, study abroad, commuter life, library services, and off campus housing.  All workshops are open to students and parents, however, space is limited.

The day will conclude with an all-NYU parent's reception and the evening is on your own.

We understand that your visit is also great opportunity to spend time with your student and explore the city. If you prefer, we also invite you to make the day your own, participating in what your schedule will allow.

Additional details about 2012 Parents Day, including workshop descriptions, are available on the NYU Parents Day website. You can also click here for a PDF of all the events happening that afternoon.
