Abstract

Since 2008, life insurance companies have faced difficult challenges in increasingly volatile financial markets. Low interest rates, declining equity markets and high equity and interest rates fluctuations have impacted life insurance companies’ sustainability. Charles Marino will discuss the impact of these trends in financial market indicators on variable annuities with particular focus on key products, today’s product offerings and views on market valuation and risk appetite.
