Required and supplemental textbooks, as submitted by the department offering the course, are available on the NYU Bookstore webpage. Textbooks can be searched by student, by course, by title, by author, or by ISBN at the Personalized Coursebook Textbook List webpage.
Prices can be compared by students N number or the specific course numbers. If a class does not have textbooks listed, it does not necessarily mean that there are no textbooks or other readings for the class, but rather that the professor will identify the necessary materials on the first day of class. Should you have any questions about a class or its materials, please contact the department and/or professor directly.
Textbooks may be purchased from the NYU Bookstore only if the instructor of the course has requested that the Bookstore order them via the online order form. Additionally, copies may be available on reserve at the Bern Dibner Library and/or Bobst Library. Online retailers, such as Amazon.com, Half.com and Alibris.com may also have the textbooks for purchase at a discounted price. Additionally, textbook rental programs are available via such sites as Chegg.com. The New York Public Library or the Brooklyn Public Library may also have your required books available.
