The School of Engineering's Department of Mathematics maintains a high level of excellence in both research and teaching. Our research is focused on the fields of applied supercomputing, convex geometric analysis, applications of partial differential equations to mathematical physics, and differential topology. The ongoing research our faculty produces is funded by the National Science Foundation and appears in top ranked academic journals.

The undergraduate and graduate degree programs we offer are flexible; students can customize their own curriculum with math courses, as well as courses from other departments. Our small student to faculty ratio allows students to receive close one-on-one attention from faculty members who are both leaders in their field of research and dedicated teachers.
