Ximena Aristizabal - Undergraduate Student Profile
Ximena Aristizabal, a senior Chemical Engineering student, owes her success at the NYU School of Engineering to the faculty and limitless opportunities she was given.
At the age of twelve, Ximena moved from her native country of Colombia to New York City. Ximena found herself drawn to helping people but didn’t think the medical field was the best fit. the NYU Tandon School of Engineering helped her explore the horizons of multiple industries within the Chemical and Biomedical Engineering fields.
During her sophomore year, Ximena was able to take part in the NYU Engineering Global E3 Program where she was able to make her dream of traveling to Singapore a reality. The E3 program allowed Ximena to enroll at Nanyang Technological University and provided her the opportunity to work at Pfizer for a summer. Ximena encourages women who are considering the Chemical Engineering field to “Do your best, no matter where you go.”
