From VR theaters and entertainment experiences to AR apps like IKEA’s Place, which allows you to virtually try out their products in your home, augmented reality and virtual reality are making their way into our everyday lives.

  • Launched in 2017, the IKEA Place app uses AR technology that lets customers see exactly how more than 2,000 furniture items would look (and fit) in their homes.
  • Netflix VR allows subscribers to watch their favorite shows and movies on their Oculus.
  • Google Daydream View VR rigs in “Living Room” mode or “Void” mode.
  • Developed by the New York Times, the NYT VR lets you experience world news (and not just read it).

Developed by Tandon School of Engineering, in association with RLab and Emeritus, this two-month course takes you beyond current interface design concepts and explores the new rules for how to apply these principles to AR & VR design — and puts you ahead of the XR curve.
