Rosa Lo - Undergraduate Student Profile
Eager to embrace the world, Lo complements her Civil Engineering studies at the School of Engineering with the comforts of a welcoming student community and the freedom to access culture and new cuisines.
In her freshman architecture class at New Hyde Park Memorial High School, Rosa Lo (Civil Engineering, 2015) discovered a talent for math and physics. She found herself drawn to an the School of Engineering program where she could interact with architects in the field. The campus chapter of the Society of Women Engineers provides Rosa the chance to network and connect with other female engineers from many disciplines at the School of Engineering.
The Brooklyn environment is the "best of both worlds" because she feels at home and still enjoys access to the courses and activities at NYU. But besides being a fantastic school, resident life here means Rosa can experience anything offered in the world's greatest city: movies, Broadway shows, sports events, and food from different cultures. She encourages young women to stay determined and always tell yourself, "I can do it! I can change the world!"
