Our AI experts and roboticists are working in concert with our data scientists, who are discovering new ways to analyze, visualize, and use the 2.5 quintillion bytes of data the world generates each and every day in the form of GPS signals, shopping transactions, taxi rides, social media posts, online videos, and digital photos, among other sources. It’s a collaborative ecosystem with a single goal: to harness the collective power of data, machine learning techniques, and autonomous systems to address the issues facing the world.

Agile Robotics and Perception Lab

The agile robotics and perception lab performs fundamental and applied research in the area of robotics autonomy. The main mission of the lab is to create agile autonomous machines that can navigate all by themselves using only onboard sensors such as in unstructured, and dynamically changing environments and without relying on external infrastructure, such as GPS or motion capture systems.

The Dynamical Systems Laboratory conducts fundamental research in the broad field of modeling and control of complex systems with specialized expertise in multiphysics modeling and marine applications of advanced/multifunctional materials.
