Nick Assenza | NYU Tandon School of Engineering

Nick Assenza

Electrical Engineering major Nick Assenza (senior) is ready to graduate and start his career as an engineer for Grumman in Bethpage, New York. In just 4 years, he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, while excelling as an intern in the electrical engineering industry.

Nick’s day is filled with activities—from student council duties to meetings with his Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity brothers. He starts bright and early at 8:30 a.m. with a few classes, and then it’s off to the library to study before he meets up with some friends for lunch or heads over to Prospect Park to take in the scenery. In his free time, Nick enjoys biking, volleyball, video games and going to the movies.

New York City has played an integral part in his education and future career. “The City has opened so many doors for me,” says Nick. “I’ve had the chance to experience so much and make a lot of professional connections.”

After classes, Nick and his friends like to catch a movie at the Pavilion Cinema in Prospect Park or hang out around Brooklyn before they make their way back to campus for the night.
