Michelle Hessel is a user experience designer and new media artist born in Sao Paulo and based in NYC. Her work inverts traditional storytelling focusing on 3D technology and virtual representations of culture such as food, people, and spaces.
Currently, at Peloton, Michelle obtained her Master's degree at New York University's Interactive Telecommunications Program, where she also did a 1-year art residency after graduating. Michelle’s projects have been featured by The Economist, VICE Media, Communication Arts, and the Interaction Design Association. She has taught interactive media at the City University of New York (CUNY) and at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).
