For sophomore Lauren Ein, New York City was the only place she could imagine pursuing her goal of becoming a Finance professional. As a Math major and a Finance minor, Lauren spends most of her time in classes, labs and serene study areas, but she is also involved in activities on campus.
Lauren is the secretary of the International Students Organization, which organizes events to promote the University’s diversity. Her involvement in the Organization has helped her meet people from around the world and inspired her to study abroad in Ireland next semester.
Lauren’s day starts around 8:00 a.m. when she walks over to the cafeteria for breakfast before her physics lab. After lab and a few more classes, Lauren heads to the library or to her favorite spot near campus—Cadman Plaza. Cadman Plaza is a small park nestled between the Brooklyn Bridge and the School of Engineering, and Lauren loves to sit in the grass with friends and take in the scenery when the weather is nice.
