Postdoctoral Associate, Clinical Biophotonics Laboratory (CBL)
Dr. Altoe received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University in June 2020. Subsequently, she accepted a position as Postdoctoral Fellow in the Clinical Biophotonics Laboratory (CBL). Her work involves using diffuse optical tomography to monitor breast cancer patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and advanced statistical analysis of multiparametric clinical data. In addition, she is currently teaching an introductory course on Statistical Methods in Biomedical Engineering within the NYU Tandon School of Engineering.
Research Interests: Biomedical Imaging, Biophotonics, Biomedical Optics, Near-Infrared Imaging, Breast Cancer, Biomarkers, Genomics, Precision Health, Personalized Medicine, Data Analysis, and Clinical Studies.
