NYU Classes Upgrade: ONLINE Demo and Q&A

For NYU Community

Have your questions answered about the NYU Classes upgrade - from the convenience of your home or office!

Over the 2016 Winter break, NYU Classes will be upgraded to the latest version of its underlying software. This will provide an updated, cleaner user interface, as well as enhancements to existing tools.

While the Classes interface will remain familiar and will not require users to relearn the system, NYU IT is offering an opportunity for Tandon faculty and staff to see a live demo and to ask questions.

In addition to the on-campus demo organized with FITL on January 11th, an online version of the demo will be presented via webinar on January 13th at 2:00PM. Faculty can participate from wherever they are located, and the session will be recorded and posted for later viewing. Be sure to register for the event below to ensure you receive the webinar link.

The upgraded NYU Classes will feature:

  • A mobile-ready user interface that automatically adapts to different device types, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones
  • More flexible layout options in the Lessons tool
  • improved support for mathematical notation throughout the system (LaTeX)
  • The option to pilot a new spreadsheet-style Gradebook
