Information for Tandon PhD students
The vast majority of Tandon PhD students who have passed the PhD qualifying exam carry out their thesis research as part of an externally funded research project. In light of the actual and potential impact of the COVID-19 crisis on research progress, Tandon is taking several measures to ensure that you will have the time and the necessary financial and other support needed to complete your thesis research. This includes:
- Extending the time to graduate when needed
- Allowing you to register for maintenance of matriculation once you have satisfied the 75-credit requirement for a PhD degree until you graduate
- Facilitating a remote thesis defense if necessary
- Working with your thesis adviser and department chair to ensure that you will be covered by a Research Assistantship or equivalent Fellowship until you graduate
