Allan Weisberg

Human Resources Executive, Leadership and Organization Development Consultant, Coach/Advisor

Allan L. Weisberg is considered one of Corporate America’s most distinguished Human Resources Leadership and Organizational Development leaders and coaches.

In his outstanding 31 year career at Johnson & Johnson, he led Human Resources and Employee Development functions at the Baby Products Company, Surgikos and Criticon. He was Vice President Human Resources and a member of the Management Board at Johnson & Johnson Hospital Services from 1989 to 1994. In 1994, he was promoted to Vice President and management board member of Ethicon, Inc. the world’s largest suture company, as he oversaw Human Resources and Organizational Development for a company of over 6,000 employees.

One of the highlights in Allan’s career came in 2002, when he was named Chief Learning Office (CLO) of Johnson & Johnson and Corporate Vice President of Training and Education, a worldwide leadership position. During his tenure as CLO, Johnson & Johnson was rated number one in industry for talent development, succession planning and training and education. CLO magazine featured Allan in a front page article describing his and J&J’s accomplishments in December of 2004. He is credited with creating the Johnson & Johnson EUniversity, the executive leadership curriculum for the organization, as well as leading the transformation of the Company’s employee survey process. In 2007, he led the successful Human Resources Integration of the Pfizer Consumer Healthcare business in 52 counties into Johnson & Johnson.

After “retiring” from Johnson & Johnson in 2007, he was recruited by the National Center of Healthcare Leadership as Senior Vice President of Leadership and Organizational Development, a position where he consulted in major healthcare organizations around the country. In 2008, he joined Bracco Diagnostics as Vice President Human Resources. Upon retiring in 2013, Allan quickly recognized that “refirement” not retirement was more suited for this chapter of his career. Allan is passionate about this next chapter and his desire to help individuals and organizations achieve their maximum potential. 

Allan has also been very active in community affairs on both local and national fronts. He was President, New Jersey Prevent Blindness from 1998 thru 2003 and active in the Somerset County United Way and Chamber of Commerce. He is also a 1992 graduate of the prestigious Leadership New Jersey. Allan also served on the ASTD Board of Directors from 2005 thru 2009. In 2010 he was selected and participated in the SHRM delegation to China. He is also Vice Chairman of Atlantic Health Systems, which was rated #49 in Fortune Magazine’s 2013 Top Companies to work for and has been on Overlook Hospital’s advisory board since 2003. He is a member of Atlantic’s Board of Directors and is chairman of both the Human Resources and Patient Safety Committees. Allan received his Bachelors of Arts Degree from Temple University.
