Meal Plans and Payment Options

Meal Plans

Whether you live on- or off-campus, we offer a meal plan right for you. Each plan uses a meal card that acts like a debit card (see below to learn how the card works). Resident & Commuting students can add money to their meal card at any time by visiting Student Accounts in JB256.

On-Campus Resident Students

Suite $1,200
This plan provides you with $1,200 declining balance that can be used at any of the on-campus dining locations. If you live in one of the School of Engineering's residential suites, you will be required to purchase a meal plan.

Apartment $900
This plan provides you with $900 declining balance that can be used at any of the on-campus dining locations. If you live in one of the residential apartments, which offer cooking facilities, you have a choice of this level or Suite (see above).

Meal Cards

Your school ID acts as your meal card, giving you one less thing to keep track of — plus, it’s easy to use:

  • Track your balance. All the registers at our dining service facilities display your balance each time you make a purchase; cashiers can also provide a printed receipt upon your request. You don’t have to buy something to find out your balance, though. Simply present your meal card to a cashier, who can perform an inquiry. Our system processes in “real time,” so your balance will always be up to the minute.
  • Increase your card’s value. If your balance starts to run low, you can add to your card’s value in increments of $10 and $20 through our kiosk machine. Larger increments can also be added through Student Financial Services. Just bring your receipt to Jasper Kane Dining Hall and we’ll take care of the rest.
  • When your meal plan starts and ends. For on-campus students, your meal plan goes into effect on move-in day, and it ends when the semester does. Balance left over from fall semester carries over to spring semester. Balance left over from spring semester only carries over if you purchase the same meal plan as you did from the previous fall semester or one at greater value. Balances at the end of spring semester are nonrefundable.

Other Payment Methods

In addition to the meal plan, cash, credit cards and debit cards are currently accepted in our dining locations
