James Sillcox is the Director of the Wasserman Center for Career Development in Brooklyn. He manages the Brooklyn office and staff, and works closely with engineering and technology students and faculty.
James joined the Wasserman Center in 2008 and was instrumental in managing early engagement programs and assessing student skill development. He also served as a liaison and consultant to launch the Career Development Center at NYU Abu Dhabi. In 2011, he transitioned to the Brooklyn location to lead the existing career services department through a relaunch process of internal assessment, restructuring, staffing enhancements, rebranding, and strategic planning. This process facilitated the expansion and integration of career services across schools and campuses.
James has an undergraduate degree from Eastern University and graduate degrees from Princeton Seminary and NYU. He is an active member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers and other professional associations. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, surfing, travel, and meditation.
