Herman Chen is a Taiwan born native immigrated to the USA and became a New York native living in Queens since 1983. He graduated from State University of New York with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and a graduate degree in business administration in 1997. He has been working at IBM since 1996 as a programmer and then as a system administrator. From 2006 to 2013, he worked as a senior system administrator in charge of managing the implementations of Healthcare IT such as IBM, Citrix, Cisco technologies for the University Hospital at Downstate.
In 2013, he joined NYU-Poly as a member of growing team of professionals delivering valuable missions in higher-ed and research fields.

Current research interests are in developing new knowledge in public health, biomedical domains by analyzing and conducting scientific studies on human health impacts posed by environmental hazards, or, protected by medical advances.
