Message from the Associate Provost

The Office of the Associate Provost for Research and Technology Initiatives is here to champion and support the creative work of our distinguished faculty, dedicated postdocs, and inquisitive Ph.D. students. We support our academic community as we shape our work to meet society’s challenges and work to devise solutions to real problems.

Our effort contributes to a vibrant academic environment for discovery and original scholarship characterized by a rich exchange among disciplines. We work collaboratively with departments across the university to expand the scope and reach of our research.

Ph.D. students play a vital role in advancing the institute’s research programs and represent our next generation of leaders and scholars. We provide targeted support for Ph.D. students to benefit from having their research guided by faculty who are, themselves, active creators of new knowledge and innovators.
