Minor in Applied Physics

The Applied Physics Department offers a Minor in Applied Physics which consists of a set of 4 or more physics courses totaling at least 15 credits. The courses should be at the intermediate or advanced level and have the introductory physics sequence (PH 1013 Mechanics, Credits: 3.00; PH 2023 Electricity, Magnetism, & Fluids, Credits: 3.00; PH 2033 Waves, Optics, & Thermodynamics, Credits: 3.00; PH 2021 Introductory Physics Laboratory I, Credits: .50; PH 2031 Introductory Physics Laboratory II, Credits: .50) as prerequisites. You must also earn an overall GPA of 2.0 in these courses to receive the minor. Transfer students must earn at least 8 credits with a 2.0 GPA at the School of Engineering.
