Turning their backs to the stunning views of Downtown Brooklyn through the tall, clear windows of the Urban Future Lab, the standing-room-only crowd moved into the facility’s exhibition room to hear nearly a dozen dignitaries welcome the latest member of the Brooklyn Tech Triangle.
The Urban Future Lab was the place to be on Monday morning, March 13. Because this ceremony welcomed more than the third new-business incubator partnership between the NYU Tandon School of Engineering and New York City—specifically the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). It also marked an expansion of the partners’ quest to rapidly drive innovation from the research phase into the economy, meanwhile educating a wide swath of New York’s population.
