We enjoyed a fantastic day at +Northrop Grumman's NY Solutions Center in downtown Brooklyn, NYC. Our Science of Smart Cities students worked in teams and met with Northrop Grumman employees who mentored them through workshops and activities relating to wireless communications. The students learned about New York City's Wireless Network (NYCWiN) and designed mock applications (relating to emergency alerts and transportation alerts) for the wireless network. They also designed their own antennae with LED lights, Ohm resistors, and mini breadboards. Our students are truly engaged in #STEMNOW!
