Science of Smart Cities concluded on Friday, August 2nd at the School of Engineering. The summer program included hands-on and team-based activities with building water turbines, designing wireless communication applications, and building model cities. The students engaged in performance and improv acting as well, through a partnership with Brooklyn-based Irondale Ensemble Project. The students learned and developed presentation and public speaking skills from weekly workshops with Irondale's instructors. The theatrical coaching paid off - during the final exposition of the summer program, the students combined their science and engineering prototypes with and engaging improv performance for parents and friends of the program!
