Executive Master’s in Management of Technology
The Management of Technology Executive Master’s program (eMOT) was created for working professionals who aim to make a difference in an economy where bridging the technology and business worlds is crucial. It will introduce you to the latest thinking and best practices in technology management and innovation. For forward-thinking managers, the eMOT program is a proven and unique path to leadership in the twenty-first century. Offered at the School of Engineering's Downtown Brooklyn location, the program features a sophisticated and dynamic learning environment.
One of the first accredited universities to offer an advanced degree in eMOT, the School of Engineering is a recognized leader in the field, and has offered the eMOT program for almost two decades. Rather than grafting a few courses onto a traditional MBA program, the eMOT program possesses a thoroughly innovative integrated curriculum. The program is well-suited for engineers and scientists with increasing managerial responsibility, as well as professionals, functional and business managers, and entrepreneurs in financial services, IT, security, design, retailing, media/entertainment and other increasingly technological environments.
Coaching and Mentoring
A unique coaching and mentoring component that includes individual and group meetings with a coach/mentor will enhance your academic experience. So too will NYU Tandon School of Engineering's new mode of education we call i2e for invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship. By managing technological innovation to launch new products, services, and businesses within their own companies or as startups, students in our executive programs embody our philosophy that research universities have to expand to provide not just education, but economic impact.
eMOT is a a rigorous 15-calendar month, 4-semester program based on a cohort system in which all participants enter at the same time and take the same courses throughout, except when electives are selected. Classes are held every other week on Wednesday or Thursday evenings and all day Saturday at 55 Broad Street, in the heart of lower Manhattan. An all-inclusive fee covers tuition and fees, textbooks and other educational material, and special tutorials and lectures by highly qualified NYC metro technology managers. Meals on class days are also included and full-time students may audit 1 additional NYU Tandon School of Engineering graduate course per semester with permission from the Program Director.
