Abstract

Motion problems are common introduction to basic high school physics. The students are thought to manipulate algebraic formulas from their basic understanding of word problems. Students with good general mathematical aptitude complete these problems and those with average ability usually have difficulty conceptualizing these problems. In order to better improve more student understanding and conceptualization, this experiment attempts to use mechatronics, the integration of mechanical, electrical, control interface, and computer programming to produce a realistic demonstration of common word problems
