The Poly Project

Poly Thinkers in Action

What is The Poly Project?

The Poly Project is a new initiative through the Office of Student Activities with the purpose of providing regular and sustained opportunities for the Poly community to engage in community service. Our objective is to provide students with Poly led service opportunities as well as resources to help members of the Poly community find other service opportunities that interest them.

Who are we?

The Poly Project is based out of the Office of Student Activities. We are a group of staff members and students who are dedicated to making service opportunities more readily available and visible here at Poly.

How can The Poly Project work with your department or club?

There are several ways that you and your office can get involved with the Poly Project:

Join the Poly Project Working Group
The Poly Project Working Group currently consists of Staff from the Office of Student Activities and an array of Student Leaders. However, we would like as many perspectives as possible. We invite all Offices, Club Leaders, and Student Leaders to join our group and make sure that we are supplying the Poly community with quality service opportunities.

Promote our service opportunities and we will promote yours
The Poly Project not only creates our own service opportunities, we promote other service opportunities going on at Poly, NYU, New York City, and abroad. Send us your service opportunities and we will post them on our website and include them on our soon to come newsletter.

Partner with us in hosting a service opportunity
Team work makes the dream work! Do you, your office, or your club have an idea but aren’t sure where to start? Contact us.

Let us keep track of your member’s service involvement
We are in the process of developing a system to keep track of student’s service hours. If your office or club requires participants to do service, we can help you track their progress.
