The Office of Graduate Student Services is in search of those enthusiastic and knowledgeable NYU School of Engineering graduate students to be Graduate Orientation Leaders. Graduate Orientation Leaders are valuable team members of the New Graduate Student Orientation Team during the Fall and Spring semesters each year.
This is a volunteer position with the Office of Graduate Student Services (Graduate Life). As a Grad OL, you welcome new students to the campus and help them adjust to life as a graduate student. Grad OL’s help with the administration of various seminars and workshops the new grads will attend, answer questions the new graduates may have, and assist with the day-to-day operations during the week of New Student Orientation.

A Graduate Orientation Leader (GOL) Captain is an individual who demonstrated excellent leadership and teamwork skills during previous Orientations as an Orientation Leader (OL). This passionate and experienced NYU School of Engineering graduate student will be in charge of its OL’s Team, and will manage particular processes during the week of training and Orientation.

This is a paid position within the Office of Graduate Student Services (Graduate Life) that also provides a great way to improve upon your transferable skill set. In addition to the reward that comes with providing a valuable service and giving back to our community, some of the other tangible skills include networking, time management, organizational, planning and leadership skills.
