DuBois and his artwork will serve as the centerpiece of The Ringling Museum's NOWhere series this spring, with the first museum retrospective of his work.
The exhibition, which opens Friday in the Searing Wing, includes films, works on paper, installations, video and sound objects produced by DuBois from the 1990s to today. A new commission, created during DuBois' residency at The Ringling over the last several months, captures on video the actions of several area circus performers, including Circus Sarasota star, aerialist Dolly Jacobs.
