E. Dianne Rekow is Installed as IADR’s 88th President


E. Dianne Rekow was installed as the 88th president of the International Association for
Dental Research (IADR) at the conclusion of the Association’s 89th General Session & Exhibition in San Diego, Calif., USA, March 19, 2011. The meeting was held in conjunction with the 40th Annual Meeting of the American Association for Dental Research (AADR) and the 35th Annual Meeting of the Canadian Association for Dental Research.

Rekow is currently the senior vice provost for engineering and technology at New York University (NYU) and provost of the Polytechnic Institute of NYU, USA. She is also a professor of orthodontics and of basic science and craniofacial biology at NYU College of Dentistry, and until recently, she had been practicing orthodontics since 1985. She’s an internationally known authority on the development and performance of new materials and products for use in esthetic and restorative dentistry. Rekow holds a D.D.S., an M.S. in mechanical engineering, a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, a certificate in orthodontics and an M.B.A.
