Meet the Team Behind the Electric Motorcycle

The world’s first electric motorcycle, STORM Eindhoven, dubbed “the Tesla of motorcycles” and powered solely by the electric grid, is concluding its 80-day world tour on Times Square.

Before hitting the streets of the US, STORM Eindhoven crossed Europe, the Middle East and China. Its unparalleled engineering and design, developed by students at TU Eindhoven in one of Europe’s most prominent high-tech clusters. It is designed as a model for the future, promoting innovation exchange in the field of e-mobility.

The motorcycle runs on a battery pack designed by Eindhoven students. The pack consists of 24 cartridges that have 28.5 kWh of energy, which enables the motorcycle to travel 380 kilometers (236 miles) on a single charge.
