You are invited to join the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering for a three-week, two credit summer course in Science and Technology Studies.
MORE ABOUT SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY STUDIES
This two-credit summer course encourages students to expand upon their critical thinking and verbal reasoning skills while analyzing topics related to healthcare. As students explore health issues including personalized medicine in the age of the genome, ethics of pharmaceutical testing, healthcare in developing countries, and policies to promote health, they will develop a research paper that can be used for college applications.
(Students will receive 2 college credits listed as STS 1002: Introduction to Science and Technology Studies.)
Classes begin Tuesday, July 29th and end on Thursday, August 14th. Classes meet Tuesday thru Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Scholarships are available up to $3,300.
Classes are open to students graduating high school in 2015 or 2016 and should have at least a 3.0 GPA.
